Those days were too old when there were only limited numbers of professions. At that time there were only Doctors, Defense, Engineers, and Scientists. The areas of profession in the field of BPO, KPO, Banking, Insurance, Aviation, Hospitality, Media, and Journalism etc were not very familiar with the people. That time the value for degree and certificate were very much as they were the only things that will show your caliber to the interviewer in an interview. The more qualification you have the better candidate you are. But with the span of time, the scenario also changes. In this today’s fast world of professionalism your skills and work speaks for you. If you are talented and skillful then you have to prove it, that piece of paper called you degree or certificate will be only the gate pass for the interviewer’s cabin. No doubt the degree is equally important but just on the basis of your degree it can become a tough task to get a job. For almost all jobs now a day, there is an on field training, which every employee has to undergo before taking the charge of a certain post. In the areas of BPO and KPO before putting the agents on their respective calling seats, firstly they have to undergo with field training and then they can talk to the ultimate clients. At this stage of professionalism one just can afford to do a silly mistake in his/her profession. The valuation of certificate will increase your qualification and talent too but for some of the professional fields they are not just enough to survive on that post. One must contain the field knowledge about the respective job. In the Media industry, one has to be very talented and focused towards his/her profession. The trend of film-making is also very much in India. The mainstream, parallel and animated movie6s serves audiences need in all aspects. From pre-production to post-production it has many different types of job profiles and one need a special training and knowledge to fulfill that job’s need. E.g. For the job of a Non-Linear Editor one must have the professional knowledge of software like Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, Avid, and Canopus etc… It’s not only about the field of media but in other fields like banking and insurance, aviation, hospitality etc. these professional professional training is very important.
